What is an Associate?

An Associate of the Society of St. Margaret is a person who wishes to share in the life and work of the Sisters while pursuing their own particular Christian vocation. Associates are women and men, some are ordained, but all are persons for whom the Eucharist holds a central place in their spiritual lives. Associate membership is open to all the baptized, regardless of denomination.

Associates develop a Rule of Life with the assistance of a member of the Community serving as Director of Associates. Associates have a special bond with the Sisters based on shared values. Their relationship is one of mutual support. Associates are remembered daily in the prayers of the Sisters and are welcome as visitors in all Houses of the Society. For their part, Associates pray daily for the life and ministry of the Sisters, assist the Sisters in various projects as they are able and if possible, make financial contributions.

New Associates

Marian Randall was received as an Associate of the Society at the Boston Convent. Jacqueline Bradley and Shirley Y.E. Brooks were recieved at Neale House.
